NOTICE is hereby given that Greenwood Utilities will receive bids until the hour of 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 10, 2021 at the offices of Greenwood Utilities located at 101 Wright Place, Greenwood, Mississippi, 38930 for the furnishing of all labor and materials and for the project designated as Grand Boulevard Lighting (the PROJECT). Contractors have the option of submitting their bids sealed in an envelope or through the electronic bid submission link at www.allenesprojects.com.
Drawings and Specifications being on file at the office of Greenwood Utilities and Allen Engineering and Science, 6360 I-55 North, Jackson, Mississippi, 39211.
The project involves the procurement and delivery of new poles and lights for the historic Grand Boulevard in downtown Greenwood, Mississippi. The poles will be purchased over the course of three years and will replace the existing lighting over approximately 1.2 miles of Grand Boulevard. Lights, poles, and pole arms will be delivered to Henderson Station, 2107 River Road Ext., Greenwood, MS for future installation by others.
The total Contract Time will be 1,095 consecutive calendar days and there will be no liquidated damages.
Greenwood Utilities hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises/woman business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award.
