NOTICE is hereby given that The City of Philadelphia will receive bids until the hour of 10:00 a.m. on Thursday May 18, 2023 at the Philadelphia City Hall located at 525 Main St., Philadelphia, MS 39350 for the furnishing of all labor and materials and for the project designated as FY 23 – RUNWAY AND TAXIWAY SEAL COAT at the Philadelphia Municipal Airport (the PROJECT). Contractors have the option of submitting their bids sealed in an envelope or through the electronic bid submission link at www.allenesprojects.com

A Pre-Bid Conference will be held at the Philadelphia Municipal Airport located at 1036 Saxon Airport Rd., Philadelphia, MS 39350 at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 10, 2023.

Drawings and Specifications being on file at the Philadelphia City Hall and Allen Engineering and Science, 6360 I-55 North, Jackson, Mississippi, 39211.

The project involves the cleaning and sealing of cracks in the existing asphalt pavement, removal of existing pavement markings, application of an emulsified asphalt seal coat, and remarking of the runways and taxiways at the Philadelphia Municipal Airport.

The total Contract Time will be 90 consecutive calendar days and the liquidated damages will be $250 per consecutive calendar day thereafter.

The City of Philadelphia hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises/woman business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The project will have a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise goal.
